Drew Nicholas Award Established

Published 2-26-20
The Wethersfield High School English Department established the Drew Nicholas Award to honor their friend and colleague. This May, a WHS student will be the first recipient. Below is the description of the award:
On January 20, 2020, Drew Nicholas passed away, leaving a legacy of memories and accomplishments from his 20 years as an English teacher at WHS. His love of travel translated to bringing hundreds of students on trips all over the world. Through all of his life, Mr. Nick showed strength and determination, always choosing to be kind and enjoy life.
The recipient of this award is a student who lives life with positivity. This student embodies Mr. Nick’s love for life and adventure, as well as his sense of humor and concern for others. This student shows an interest in getting involved in the life of the school to become a positive part of the WHS community.

Parents of Sophomores- State law requires that each student have a complete health physical PRIOR to entering their junior year of high school.

Any student who does not have a physical on record before the start of their junior year will not be allowed to return to school until the documentation is on record.
