Operational Information

OFFICE HOURS: Monday thru Thursday  10:30AM-3:00PM  | Tuesdays 5:30 -8:00 PM  Evening hours start when classes are running . CLOSED Fridays.

REMINDER: Our office is closed Holidays and when Wethersfield Public Schools are on vacation or closed due to inclement weather.  We will work remotely if schools switch to full remote learning.

Enrichment classes are open to adult residents of all towns. Limited enrollment and popular classes fill quickly - we encourage you to register promptly.

Mission Statement

The mission of the VRABE Regional Adult based Education program (which includes Wethersfield Adult Education) is to offer dynamic, multicultural services in an atmosphere of respect, appreciation, and acceptance of all. It is the goal of the Region to empower students with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed both personally and professionally in a technologically advanced society. 

VRABE Participating Towns

The following fourteen towns participate in the FREE adult-based educational programs described in our catalog and at http://www.vrabe.com. VRABE Regional Adult Based Education provides these programs which are funded by participating communities, state and federal grants, and other grant sources.

Ashford, Bolton, Colchester, Coventry, East Windsor, Ellington, Glastonbury, Griswold, Mansfield, South Windsor, Tolland, Vernon, Wethersfield, Willington. 

Students not living within our fourteen-town region will be charged tuition for classes offered in the VRABE Regional Adult Based Education Program.

Pre-GED, GED, CDP & NEDP Registration and Orientation Information

Through VRABE Regional Adult Based Education we are pleased to offer access to Pre-GED, GED test prep, Credit Diploma (CDP) and National External Diploma Program (NEDP) classes.

Orientation is REQUIRED for all high school completion programs. Register for an Orientation online at www.vrabe.com  or call 860-870-6060.

 The next trimester of  GED classes  will begin 12/05/ 2022   Visit www.vrabe.com or call 860-870-6060 for virtual options and in-person classes at various locations.

ESL and Citizenship Registration Information

To register for ESL classes please call (860) 870-6060

 Students must provide a valid, state-issued photo ID and proof of address.

Classes for ESL students will meet in Wethersfield Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:00-9:00 PM    Next tri-mester begins 12/5/2022  Virtual options also available

Citizenship classes will be held virtually  based on sufficient enrollment. Students registering for Citizenship must be able to read and converse in English well enough to pass an appraisal test. For additional information and to pre-register, please call (860) 870-6060.
