REMINDER: Our office is closed Holidays and when Wethersfield Public Schools are on vacation. We will work remotely if schools switch to full remote learning.

Due to COVID precautions there will not be walk-in registrations this semester.

The FALL 2021 catalog can be viewed and/or printed from this site by clicking on the link above or the catalog photo starting August 20th. Additional copies will be available in the Adult Ed office and limited copies at each school. Due to COVID-19 only limited copies will be at local libraries this semester, however, Wethersfield AND Rocky Hill residents will receive one in their mail.

Enrichment Registration by mail begins upon catalog release. Phone in registration begins Sept 2nd. No walk-in registrations allowed. Enrichment/Continuing Ed Classes are open to adult residents of ALL towns. General information and instructions on enrichment programming is on page 6 of the catalog. OUR PROGRAM IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER 13-G which requires all in-person instructors to be fully vaccinated or undergo weekly testing.

  • You MUST REGISTER in order to attend any class. Sorry, but our program does not allow 'drop-ins'.

  • WETHERSFIELD residency NOT required for Enrichment/Continuing Ed classes. Everyone pays the listed course fee. No discounts apply. There are no extra fees for out of Town participants.

Mission Statement

The mission of the VRABE Regional Adult based Education program (which includes Wethersfield Adult Education) is to offer dynamic, multicultural services in an atmosphere of respect, appreciation, and acceptance of all. It is the goal of the Region to empower students with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed both personally and professionally in a technologically advanced society.

VRABE Participating Towns

The following fourteen towns participate in the FREE adult-based educational programs described in our catalog and at VRABE Regional Adult Based Education provides these programs which are funded by participating communities, state and federal grants, and other grant sources.

Ashford, Bolton, Colchester, Coventry, East Windsor, Ellington, Glastonbury, Griswold, Mansfield, South Windsor, Tolland, Vernon, Wethersfield, Willington.

Students not living within our fourteen-town region will be charged tuition for classes offered in the VRABE Regional Adult Based Education Program.

Pre-GED, GED, CDP & NEDP Registration and Orientation Information

Through VRABE Regional Adult Based Education we are pleased to offer access to Pre-GED, GED test prep, Credit Diploma (CDP) and National External Diploma Program (NEDP) classes.

Orientation is REQUIRED for all high school completion programs. Register for an Orientation online at or call 860-870-6060.

The next semester of GED classes will begin Sept 13, 2021. Classes in Wethersfield will meet on Monday, and Wednesdays evenings 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Virtual options also available.

ESL and Citizenship Registration Information

To register for ESL classes please call (860) 870-6060

Students must provide a valid, state-issued photo ID and proof of address.

Classes for ESL students will meet in Wethersfield Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:00-9:00 PM for 13 weeks per semester beginning Sept 13, 2021. Virtual options also available

Citizenship classes will be held based on sufficient enrollment. Students registering for Citizenship must be able to read and converse in English well enough to pass an appraisal test. For additional information and to pre-register, please call (860) 870-6060.
