Welcome to the WPS 7-12 Digital Resource Library for students and families! You will find digital learning tools organized by category. Some resources are free and available without a subscription while others require a username and password.

WPS 7-12 Chromebook Initiative

The Wethersfield Public Schools are proud to provide Chromebooks as learning tools for our 7-12 students. Visit the WPS Chromebook Central page for up-to-date information about Chromebook insurance, distribution, repair, and tips and tricks for making the most out of your district-issued device!

Literacy

Resource for Grades 7-8
Flocabulary is a web-based learning program for all grades and subjects that uses educational hip-hop music and standards-based videos, instructional activities and formative assessments to develop core literacy skills and supplement instruction across the curriculum. 
Resource for Grades 7-12
Teachers and students can search Destiny, the online library catalog, from home or school. Teachers can view and search the catalog without logging in. Logging-in allows a user to put books on hold,  view the books on hold or checked out, and create book lists.

World Book Online provides access to multiple levels of resources including: World Book Kids (easiest to read), World Book Student (middle school level), or World Book Advanced (high school level).

Exploring By The Seat Of Your Pants brings science, exploration, adventure and conservation into classrooms through virtual speakers and field trips with leading experts across the globe.  Each month during the school year, EBSOP hosts 25+ Google Hangout events for classrooms.

BrainPOP engages students through animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, primary source activities, concept mapping, and more. BrainPOP covers topics within Science, Math, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Music, Health, Reading, and Writing. The content is carefully mapped to the Common Core and  aligned to academic standards.

Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.

The district now has a beginning collection of eBooks and audiobooks that can be downloaded by teachers and students. This resource also provides access to the Wethersfield Public Library’s e-collection as well. This collection contains many of the Nutmeg books.
