Welcome to the WPS K-6 Digital Resource Library! You will find classroom learning tools organized by category. Some resources are free and available without a subscription while others require a username and password.

Literacy

Resource for Grades K-6
Bookshare is an ebook library that makes reading easier. People with reading barriers can customize their experience and read in ways that work for them.

Using the Capstone Interactive Library, choose from different subjects, genres, and levels to find just the right book.  Every title is supported by audio.
Resource for Grades K-6
Teachers and students can search Destiny, the online library catalog, from home or school. Teachers can view and search the catalog without logging in. Logging-in allows a user to put books on hold,  view the books on hold or checked out, and create book lists.

The WPS OverDrive collection contains eBooks and audiobooks that can be downloaded by teachers and students. This resource also provides access to the Wethersfield Public Library’s e-collection.

CK-12 Foundation provides a library of free online textbooks, videos, exercises, flashcards, and real world applications across content areas.

ThinkCentral Go Math is the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) Web site that allows you to access digital materials associated with Wethersfield’s math program; Go Math. Materials include teacher guides, student eBooks, assessments, and reports.

Mystery Science is a digital  subscription purchased by the district to support science instruction in grades K-5. Video lessons are NGSS aligned and engaging for students. Resources include: planning guides, open and go lessons, mysteries and explorations, as well as, digital read aloud books.

GoGuardian is GoGuardian is a Chromebook management solution that keeps students safe when they're online, helps teachers engage with their students, and provides schools with better control over how their technology is used.

Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
Resource for Grades 2-6 Kahoot! makes it easy to create, share and play fun learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes.

The district now has a beginning collection of eBooks and audiobooks that can be downloaded by teachers and students. This resource also provides access to the Wethersfield Public Library’s e-collection as well. This collection contains many of the Nutmeg books.

TypingTraining.Com is a web-based service providing online typing training and testing. Because it is web-based no software installation is needed. All that is needed are computers or mobile devices with internet access.

World Book Online provides access to multiple levels of resources including: World Book Kids (easiest to read), World Book Student (middle school level), or World Book Advanced (high school level).
