Digital Citizenship
Classroom Resources for Teachers
As a district, the Wethersfield Public Schools community focuses on “ensuring that students acquire the skills and knowledge for lifelong learning, develop a positive sense of self and self-discipline, and function as responsible citizens of society.” Consistent with this mission and our efforts to integrate instructional technology into PreK-12 classrooms, we endeavor to support our students’ growth as responsible, respectful, and effective ‘digital citizens.’
The Common Sense Education Digital Citizenship Curriculum, a K-12 curricular resource developed in partnership with Harvard School of Education’s ‘Project Zero,’ encourages students to “think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in the digital world” and is aligned with relevant skill and content standards (including ISTE, ELA Common Core, CASEL, AASL, and CSTA).
